“I guess, if I’ve got any role to play, I think I have to give a voice to the people who don’t have a voice. Thinking back to my childhood, the wee guy from the east end of Glasgow, this wee guy who was nothing, well I’ve made a career out of playing guys who are less than nothing. You know when you’re thinking about “is it possible for someone to come from nowhere?” then the answer is absolutely yes. But I tell you this: don’t think back.
