Here is my ultimate conclusion to this; Chilton was the main part of this trailer, well it was 60 seconds long, but I think he was presented as the topic, at least until the middle. In the trailer, Will tells him that he’s the next victim (of Hannibal), and in Futamono, we see when Hannibal winks at him, Frederick looks very panicked and he did tell Jack that he is extremely cautious about looking like threat to Lecter. We see that come into play in this trailer, however, I don’t think it’s wise for us to believe that he will die based on what we’ve seen, I don’t think they’d go so far as to making it that obvious. I want to believe that he will survive, simply because he’s not that stupid to let himself get killed. This is Chilton we’re talking about here. Frederick Chilton. The administrator of the Baltimore Hospital for the Criminally Insane. He’s seen some shit, got disemboweled by one of his former patients and survives (with the help of Freddie ofc). I know Fuller has all the aces up his sleeve and he’s not afraid to pull them all out, as we’ve seen him do already, but I’d love for Chilton to live long enough to see Hannibal behind the bars of one of the cells in his hospital, I just want this character to be there when Lecter is caught and be content and smug and taunting with everything just like the Chilton in the book. Guys, I don’t want him to die. And I don’t want to believe it either.
